Default The Fertility Centre Dandenong Victoria

Just wanting to find out if anyone has been to the fertility centre in Dandenong?

They say they make IVF more affordable as they bulk bill a lot of the initial testing and scans but you don't get to see the same fertility specialist each time you go.

Anyone have any positive or negative feedback?

My husband and I are desperate to start our IVF journey and I'm so confused on where to go. I did see a Monash IVF doctor who I wasn't very happy with so I'm looking at other avenues.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Butterfly we go to Dandenong and we have found them to be fantastic!! Because we will 4.5 hours away they have tried to help us out as much as possible, and Deb the nurse is awesome!! She makes us feel right at home and explains EVERYTHING to you and makes sure you understand before she goes on....I am extremly happy we decided to go with Dandenong..

    good luck with your decision

Just one question, do you know how much a fet cycle would cost there? Trying to see if we can budget for one round of ivf and hopefully get a couple of freezable and then do two fet cycles.

Where ar you at in yourcycle at the moment? X

And one more (sorry), how long did it take from gp referral to getting meds to start your cycle? Am I being unrealistic hoping for June/July cycle dates?

From memory it cost us around $8000 and we get around $5500 back on Medicare the cost includes all your appointments blood tests scans and meds etc!!

we had our first appoinment in Jan and are now doing our first cycle we could have done it sooner but waited!! The biggest wait is getting your police check once all that is cleared it's pretty much up to you when you start!!

Hey Asher, how have you been getting along with your cycle?

Just re-posting this to see if anyone else has been here and what their experience was like. It took a while to get in so I think they get quite busy, hoping someone has had some experience that they can share

3 weeks to go, I'm getting excited and nervous at the same time! I just hope we can start within 3 months.

I also wanted to find out, maybe Asher could help me, how are the payments usually scheduled and what proportion is acutally paid to the pharmacy roughly for the meds? Do you pay all of it up front? I've only ever seen costs in totals but I have no idea what proportion of that is for the meds, or are the meds on top of the cost quoted for IVF?
