Default Empty 2nd sac, anyone else? Help pls

I've had 2 scans, one at 7 weeks and 1 at 8 weeks 3 days both scans show a 2nd sac and its empty. FS reckons it will reabsorb but he didn't really say much else, seems like he didn't know much about it.
Anyone experience this? Does it go away naturally? Was there any cause for concern?

Hi, With my second pregnancy (which was after an ectopic) My Obgyn monitored me very closely and I had regular blood tests (to check HCG levels were rising appropriately and my first scan very early (to make sure the pregnancy was in the right place) and my Ob told me there were two sacs, only one yolk sac though. There were two sacs on my U/S images at 7 and 9 weeks but gone by 12 I think. My Ob said it was common but went unnoticed as many women don't get scans until about 12 weeks. My body absorbed what was there and my pregnancy progressed normally. My son was born at almost 36 weeks (I cant carry to term -that's another story) Wishing you the best of luck :-)

i had a second sac with my last pregnancy, she is 2 this year, the sac was empty and had a mass of blood around it.
i didnt bleed and by the time i had my next scan, all bleeding and sac were gone.

so no need to worry, as above poster said, its actually quite common. my grandad says that most woman pregnancys start off with 2 sacs, hes from old school learning
