Oh yes, I have met and had a photo with mark furze (he played Rick from home and away) and on the same night I met Chris hemsworth but he refused to have his photo taken... He wasn't even that 'famous' yet... Oh well.

A friend is also best friends with Rebecca breeds from home and away.

    I've never met them though..
My husband has met them, and Greg Murphy. I am so jealous of him, he gets to go to functions with them due to his work.

I'm useless, I have walked right past quite a few famous people and never even realised. I just don't recognise anyone!

I went to high school with someone who did a long stint on an Aussie soap and has done some TV hosting etc. I don't really consider them 'famous' though.

A good friend of mine is a food blogger and has met lots of famous chefs. She's quite good friends with one who was on an episode of MasterChef.

I was once staying with a friend of mine for a few days in his family's apartment in a very exclusive complex in Sydney and there was a guy in the carpark ranting that Nicole Kidman had parked in his spot again! I'm sure if I'd stayed long enough I would have seen more famous people - but would be unlikely to recognise them!

I went to school with 2 people who ended up on australian soapies....one was also in several musicals while we were st school.

We also know/knew the guy that played 'fox' on neighbours for a little bit, he has recently been in the US show the secret circle and apparently a few more shows....of he was also on the first underbelly my grandparents follow his career.

bil went to high school with a well known actress....he played with her boobs at a party

eta: one of my best girlfriends from school is always in the paper, and will hopefully be at the next Olympics, so she will famous soon!

a couple of girls from my school also won medals at the London Olympics, but I didn't really know them that well.

I went to school and did swimming training/club with Samantha Reily and also went to school with Kyle Sandilands (barfff). Wally Lewis lives on the same street as my brother and Alan Langer lived in our neighbourhood when I was a kid. I have a friend who was bass player for the band Dungeon and he did the European tour with Megadeath. He now tours Aus with Masters of Rock....any night out with him has possibilities to meet other famous musicians. My dh is friends with v8 supercar driver Mark Winterbottom. I've met and had my pic taken with a few celebs...Peter Brock, Greg Murphy, neighbours actors etc
