    Default Vitex Side Effects

Hi All. I started taking vitex at the start of this cycle as I can be slightly irregular. AF would be due 5th April at this stage. In the last few days I have noticed blue veins and spider veins appearing on my breasts. Does anyone know if this is a side effect to vitex?

then, nikki61087. That's very interesting to know! I have a big one popping up in my arm as well, and normally my veins are very hard to find (I'm a regular blood donor, and they always have trouble at the blood bank!) Just put it down to vitex, as it's the only thing I'm doing differently this month! Thanks for your reply to my post x

Just curious...where do you get Vitex from? Chemist, Healthfood shop?

Any, does it come on tablet form .... Is our a tea?

Sorry, probably sounds like a daft question.

not a daft question at all... You can get it at the chemist (I go to chemist warehouse for mine) and it's in a one a day tablet form

yeah i took the one a day. Well my veins only came up once i was pregnant (its like my biggest sign). The larger chemist or health food stores have it. Im not sure on the tea but you can get tablet or liquid form

I don't think there is a particular day to start taking it.

I was told by my naturo to start them after your period has stopped as it can cause heavy bleeding and clotting.

As far as symptoms, basically I feel pg. I go to the loo at lot, my boobs are sore. I feel tired. It's from the progesterone, which is what creates the very early pg symptoms.
