Default Tips for when it's getting hard to reach your toes/the floor

I had a lightbulb moment yesterday when I was mopping the floor and realised I could also use the mop for the shower base - I've seriously been putting of cleaning the showers in our house as it's such an effort to do anything low down already!

I'd love some more ideas! What changes have you made to how you do things to account for the bump making things harder?

I used to use our kitchen broom to scrub the tiles in the shower. No bending down to get into the corners at the bottom and it gave them all a good clean to. I also left the showers for AGES until I discovered this trick just rinse the broom, load it with cleaner and away you go!

Great idea, I was sort of trying hard to not look at the corners - so will try that next!

I use my DP for cleaning while pregnant.

I also became quite adept at picking things up with my toes.

I've always used my feet for picking up things and at least during pregnancy it's less weird and I have a good excuse haha! DP calls me ape woman and now my boys do it too cos they think it's normal eep!

I could try that.... and my house might get cleaned by the time bub is 6 months - lol! I lie, he would do some cleaning but his clean and my clean are very different (and I'm already what you'd called 'relaxed' about cleaning, so you can imagine!!!)

I'm another toe-user and DH is so jealous - he has short stubby toes and can't use them! I've already taught DD to pick up things with her toes too!

I tried this today and it worked fantastically although while I was scrubbing away I hit the broom on the soap dish an smashed the bloody thing off the wall NOT HAPPY AT ALL and I barely hit it. So just be careful.

Fwiw the kitchen broom is brilliant at cleaning cars too

I've learned to squat so that I can shave and dry my legs after a shower, however I have horrible muscle owchie so can't really lift my legs to arm length I can't really think of anything else that I can't do but I'm sure there is probably other stuff haha.
