    Oooh loving season 3 already

Khal Drogo was my major reason for watching (**drool**) but since he got killed off, i'm loving Jon Snow.

I'm reading the books (I'm up to A Dance with Dragons vol1) so the only surprises for me this season will be how they decided to adapt it for tv. So far i think its been done really well.

What really draws me in most about this series/books is the way the author has included so many dominating female characters into such a chauvanistic feudal society. Daenerys, Margery and Cerci are more or less classical achitypes that could have survived in real medieval England. But Brienne, Yara (Asha) and Arya are more unique Joan of Arc warriors that seem to hold their own despite the politics and predjucises in the world around them. Love love love it.

The nurse doesn't exist in the books.

Very true. I actually prefer the TV version of that relationship actually!

Nobody give away what the books say...not all of us have read the books

Fav characters are definitely Tyrion (Imp) and Bronn (Tyrions 'bodyguard'/killer friend). I love them both and love their interactions.
Also really like Jorah (Dragon chicks adviser) but he is just terrible at looking after her, isnt he? His dad (The Commander of the Nights Watch) is cool too.

My fav om-nom wise was Drogo but obviously thats gone so onto Jon Snow. I met Drogo recently in Perth and OMG he is just devine and soooo lovely *swoon*
Theon grosses me out....I dont get why he just so quickly randomly turned but ok. Personally, his sister....letting him feel her up...eww wtf?! Freaks.

I actually feel for Theon. He was a hostage his whole life practically, no matter how nice they were to him e was still a prisoner. And when he returned to his real home his father mocks him and dismisses him for being too much a Stark? He had no chance in life. No real home and no family to speak of really. His betrayal was extreme but I think he just snapped after his fathers rejection.

As for Asha... Well GofT loves a bit of incest lol! But really she was just playing games and trying to make him feel stupid.

There is a lot of incestuous stuff in this.
Question: why is it ok for the Targaryens but not for anyone else?

I don't think the Lannisters are being hated in for incest, I think it's more the fact that Joffrey isn't a Baratheon, he's 100% Lannister. Without Baratheon blood he has no claim to the throne.
