I love seeing Noah Taylor on TV again! Didnt expect him to play Locke and do what he did at the end of Ep 3!!!

I didn't really get who Locke was but just looked it up- he's supposed to be Vargo Hoat, but rewritten for TV.

No he doesn't have a no nudity clause. He's stated in an interview recently that he had to sign in in his contract that he is willing to go 'starkers'. Yes there's a bad pun in there

Why on earth did they change his name?

I've read interviews where they've discussed the nose thing. It was a cost and time decision. The actor said it would be too hard to have prosthetics for however many seasons his character would be in the story and if they used computer techniques to remove it he'd have to have a green sock apparently over his nose while he acted everything out so they decided against it.
Tyrion is described as much uglier in the book so they are already taking liberties with his character anyway.

This thread does seem to have become a discussion about the adaptation.

Perhaps we need a clean thread: "GoT S3, spoiler-free" with absolutely no mention of the books.

Good idea! However I've only read up to book 3 and am finding it impossible to stop comparing to the books!
