    Default Olive oil ok?

I'm making a Gluten free choc mud packet mix. It requires 125ml oil. I only have olive oil, would that be ok? I'm worried about it affecting its taste.

I've used olive oil in baking before and it does have a distinctive taste. For carrot cakes/ muffins I prefer to use canola oil as its pretty much flavorless. Assuming you have some, I'd use melted butter instead if I were you.

I second the melted butter. Although chocolate might be strong enough to mask the flavour.

I agree that the chocolate will prob mask the flavour. For the future, rice bran oil is awesome for baking.
