I think it's all about what makes them 'click' and get that lightbulb moment. I think you've got it with the dresses well done!

    Thanks

Well, today (day 3) went really well!

Put her in a dress again, and she played for about 2hrs in the (carpeted) lounge with no toileting going on. I was starting to get nervous, when she suddenly ran over to the potty, sat down, and did a wee!

And that was pretty much how it went all day! We had 2 very very minor accidents. 1 was literally one spot on the floor, and then she ran to the potty, and the other was when DH was neglecting his post and she was in a room with no potty - but again just a spot. (Boo, DH! )

Other than that, everything was in the potty!

    So proud of her

DH took her out briefly, and put her in training pant pull-up things, and she didn't go in them at all. Before letting me put on her nappy for bedtime she insisted on doing a wee on the potty too. Yayyy!!

So, now I guess the next thing is getting her into knickers (as she's going bare bummed at the moment, around the house), and hoping that doesn't make her feel like she has a nappy on! But she seems to have 'got it', and was really reluctant to have a nappy on today...

So I've put knickers on her today, and she ran to the potty to do a wee, but didn't pull them down - so that may take a bit more work today! Very happy she's going straight to the potty though

Girl X, I did the same thing as a kid. Apparently Mum was at the clothes line and came in to see me sitting in the potty with my undies still on! So based on that, I'm going to say its completely normal

    Glad she's doing so well.

    Thanks, guys

Good! For her 2nd attempt she ran to the potty and pulled her knickers down - woo hoo! 3rd attempt was with knickers still up (but still in potty).

At the park she had an accident while playing, but kind of blame myself a bit for chatting to people and not reminding her in good time. After that, she used the potty at the park (yes, I took it with me) 3 times.

I think we're almost there, but still need to remind her and for her to get used to knickers. And then I guess it's moving from potty to toilet! I'd like to see her get a bit more consistent for going out and about, as it seems fine at home but variable when out today. But one step at a time, I guess!
