Default What type of pear and apple to use?

What type of pear and apple is best to try if I want to make purée for bub? He's 5 months. There are different pears and apples so wondering which would be good.

    Thanks.

I would say any apple except maybe not granny smith as they may be too sour. I liked using the larger packham (sp??) pears.

I just use whatever I have...I also mixed the apple (granny smith) with the pear to tone down the tartness...

I let bub try Rafferty's Garden's pear and apple and Heinz's pear, blueberries and banana (free samples). Gosh he cringed and cringed and spat it all out...when I tasted it, they were really sour. So thinking of preparing some myself, hopefully they will be tastier?

thought some apples are more sour than others.
