Default Any way to get period/ovulation back whilst bfing?

I breastfeed my beautiful 3 month old dd on demand, we are looking to start trying for number 2 in around August and have to use ivf again. We have some frosties still and I was told that as long as I have a regular period back then I can transfer. I really don't want to think about having to wean my daughter at 6 months but haven't got period back yet
Any way to encourage it back without weaning?

Great question, I have a 3 month old as well and want to start TTC number two later in the year but my period is still absent. So I'm subbing!

I've conceived twice while breastfeeding, at 11 months and 14 months.
My first started sleeping 12 hours overnight at 6 months and about a month later AF returned. It took 4 cycles to conceive.
My second I got AF back at 5 months, even though I was feeding every 3 hours. We started TTC at 9 months and it was 5 months before I conceived.

To start trying to conceive my DD with IVF I had to stop breastfeeding my DS - I fed for 9 months and my cycle didn't come back until after I completely stopped feeding.

With DD however, my cycle came back after 6 months and whilst still BF.

To my knowledge there isn't anything you can do to bring your cycle on, but as your DD starts stretching out her feeds, there's a good chance your cycles will return. Unfortunately you can't predict it though!
