Samsung 10kg frontloader ... best machine we've ever had. Alot more success with stains coming out just in the wash (no pre soaking, pre washing or stain removal products) and I can add items even after the cycle has started.

I had to buy a new one in February. I shopped on www. appliancesonline .com .au
They have them reduced at least $120 or more.
I got a 7.5kg fisher and pakyell top loader for $569. The delivery fee is included in that price and they can even take away your old machine :-) Definitely saved myself $200 getting it from there

I would recommend calling a reputable repairer/wholesaler - they would know what comes back in as far as quality goes.

A few years ago I did this on behalf of a friend whose machine had just died and apparently the quality has gone down in washing machines and they said to now only expect around 8 years out of a machine. I can't remember what was recommended now though.

We love our top loader too (not very environmental I know) but it does a decent load.
