    Default Broccoli and Carrot Puree

My LO is 5 months and has been taking a bit of solids twice a day recently. I have let him try rice cereal and pumpkin so far. Thinking of trying more things.

Any of you tried broccoli and carrot puree? Is that popular with your baby? Do you reckon it will cause tummy discomfort cos broccoli can cause gassiness?

I am thinking of letting him try the plainer stuff in case he decides to prefer sweeter stuff like fruits. Not sure if my rationale is correct.

    Thanks.

I would hold off on giving brocolli under 6 months, it is harder to digest , or add ginger to it when steaming as ginger helps digestion!
I think as long as you give them a wide variety - of fruit and veggies and don't keep giving them the same things all the time then they won't develop habits of only wanting the same food
Also don't be scared to add ginger, garlic, herbs and spices to all their food - breastmilk is full of flavor!
