Just an update - I ended up having to be really firm with work ppl and just outright asked them to stop suggesting names. Came to a breaking point when ppl were deciding on my behalf what to call MY bub. I snapped and asked them to stop from now on and asked that they didn't question me again what I was going to name my bub. Thats mine and my partners decision. Sorted now.

Good on you! Glad you managed to tell them to them to back off. It is totally your choice and they needed to know that. x

I remember years ago telling my little SIL what the baby's name was going to be. She was about 9. She was like "cool" then she went inside. 2 minutes later exDPs mother comes rushing out saying "L just told grandma that you're naming the baby S- she's joking right?!" And we just went... No... That's the baby's name...
She couldn't believe it. She carried on and on and made it the most horrid nasal sounding thing ever, until her sister finally said "Shut up about it K, you named your DD S-, you haven't got a leg to stand on". Then exMIL was all distracted to learn that others weren't all that convinced back in the day of her name choices either! She never said anything else about my DS's name after that.
