That would just have to end with self flagellation. It just has to.

Am I the only person sick of seeing everyone putting their hand out for an 'entitlement'?

Gosh I wonder what people did before super and centrelink.

Far out. We have a lower income and I made a choice not to work but we live within our means. If money became an issue, I would find a way to earn more. Happy to do cleaning, shelf stacking etc done it before.

Society gets more handouts than ever before and still ask for more. Wouldn't you all prefer to see some of that money invested in projects that will give our kids a bright future? Maybe towards reducing the cost of living?

Oh it's not fair, poor me I didn't get as much as that other person.

Besides, what goes in one hand generally comes out the other.

That picture literally makes me feel unwell. God, I feel so bad for the SAHMs - are the massages compulsory? This is worse than Work Choices!

Superannuation isn't a handout. It's a vital scheme that aims to enable the majority of Australians to support themselves in old age.

I agree with some of your other points though. To me the ideal to aspire to is one where the government has very little to do with my day-to-day budget, not one in which it micro-manages every last detail.
