Kimberleygal, if you and your DH have 'worked so hard' in comparison to the rest of us slackers...why do you have to keep reinforcing this fact? What does it matter what a bunch of strangers think about your material possessions, or how hard you guys have worked? I really think you suffer from some sort of low self esteem because clearly people here find that attitude offputting. I think you should be extremely grateful and happy with what you have, so it shouldn't matter to a bunch of folk online think of your possessions.

FTR loads of SAHMs work very hard. I'm sure lots of people don't work hard. Why does it matter? I don't think I work particularly hard - am I unworthy?

If someone says something sort of related to your situation and you are at first miffed .. stop... take a breath... Dont take it personally...ask yourself is any part of what they are saying is valid?
    - if someone told me I have a fat @rse at first I would be miffed. Then I'd probably agree with them, flip them the bird and move on.
Yep get what you are saying. But I think the problem sometimes is walking away doesn't hold people accountable. I believe if you have the balls lol to make offensive comments you know will inflame debates, you have to expect people are going to take you to task. If you still plan to say them, don't complain people are picking on you. Stand your ground, recognise people are annoyed with you and explain your POV. It's kind of like a bratty 5 yo hiding behind his mother shouting insults at other kids, then when they peg a rock at him he balls to his mother he's being picked on

There's also the notion that without the honest responses of other posters we cannot understand how our words affect others and we cannot grow.

I've learnt from my interactions on here. I like to think others can too.
