What evidence do you have that shows that there has been warming over the last 16 years? I would love to see it.
Father-I believe I posted earlier in this thread proof that there has been warming and that your previous figures were from 1998 whereas 2005 and 2010 tied to be hotter than 1998.

I'm guess you are referring to your post #27. "Proof"????
You are talking about something completely different. I am talking about the warming (or lack thereof) trend for the last 16 years. You are talking about which years were the hottest.
I'm sorry. But that is not proof.
I'll say it yet again. During the last 10 years, I have been taller on average than I was the previous 10 years. Am I wrong to say that I have stopped growing?

Kirst33 - can you tell me how much the Earth has warmed since 1998? That question has an answer. It is numerical. I am not asking what the hottest year is/was.

There is more to climate change than how hot it is.

But you said that you think it has warmed over the last 16 years. So has it? Or has it not?

I've been trying to find proof, sparked by your comment, but can't. It seems there hasn't been any evidence of warming in the last 16 years.

    Quote from your first link:
While the trend is not statistically significant, the central value is positive, meaning the average surface temperature has most likely warmed over this period.
Amazing! Those are very important words if you have any understanding of statistics.

Your second link does not show that there has been warming. It is merely trying to make it look like it is not important. Despite none of the models predicting the 'no warming' period.

I'll say it again. There has been no statistically significant warming for the last 16 years.
