I just find that articles like the one linked try and fob off the real issue in favor of slagging off the government and taxes ( I'm the first to blame the government and hate unnecessary tax hikes) however I agree with carbon tax if it costs more we will use less so that does help and hopefully the rest if the world does the same.

Are you using less than you did before? I'm not.

Probably not, but only because we were already pretty conscious about trying to cut back (cycle/walk to work and do what we can around the house). Victoria's black balloon campaign a few years ago worked on us! The carbon tax doesn't bother me.

I think most people are. Electricity costs money. They don't need the government to force them to cut back.

Its good that the carbon tax doesn't bother you. That may not be the case if you worked in the manufacturing industry.

I was pretty good before but I try harder now because it costs more and I am using less.
Friends I've noticed use less now too example one would only use her dryer even in summer now she uses her clothesline others use heating/cooling less now compared to non-stop before.

Victorian hospitals are having money taken away from them due to this green crusade.

How can the government do this?

Hmm. I'm not sure the herald-sun or Victorian state government would be very objective in their analysis!

Quite an accusation. Do you have any objective evidence to back up your subjective statement?

Do you think that they are not paying the carbon tax?
