I'm also a big energy drink consumer, have been for years. It's the taurine and guarana, not so much the caffeine that is dangerous. Studies have found 2-3 instant coffee (so not brewed) per day are safe when pg. I chose in both pgs to completely stop drinking them and replace them with 1 berocca a day.

Ooh I'm not the only one drinking Berrocca! I've only started having one in the morning instead of a coffee (mostly because I ran out of coffee and thought 'hey why not' but still >__>)

Isn't taurine made from bulls bile - hence the name of the drink?

Not just bulls but yeah it's an organic acid found in most animal tissues and bile.
