    Default iPhone battery problems...

Is anyone having problems with their iPhone battery draining really fast? For example,I charge mine to 100% before I go to bed..wake up around 7 hours later and it's down to 20%
It's only started happening the last week or so...I have looked online and have done various suggested "fixes" like changing email to fetch instead of push, closed all apps down, turned location services off etc,...and nothing is working..I'm still running 5.0.1 ....Hesitant to update to version 6 point something, as battery drain is apparently a big problem with that update, though can't see how mine could get any worse lol... any suggestions?

7 hours??? That's ages!! My iPhone 4S goes for about 6 hours if I'm barely using it but as soon as I ring someone, play music or play a game it will drain in 2-3 hours :/

My iPod battery malfunctioned on the charger and I caught it just before it caught on fire, it was obviously melted and is no longer with me it was doing some strange charging issues before it melted....like would take ages to start charging if it was completely dead.

Just keep an eye on it as I would hate for it to do the same thing as my iPod

Mines the same one and about the same age..if I am not making lots of calls or on the Internet a lot the battery will last the entire day.

I think it all depends on the usage.

Mines not being used for 7 hours while I sleep, and it's draining down to 20% from a full charge before I go to bed...before this problem started I could wake up in the morning with the charge still in the 90's....
