Sorbolene is a petro-chemical based product, so I imagine it's the mineral oil that makes it effective as a make-up remover anyway.

Just watched a YouTube video of someone using Vaseline to remove and it looked amazing! Just rubbed it on and wiped off with a cloth.
I'm going to try this but with pawpaw ointment or dermeze cuz that's all I have inn the house. Should condition my lashes nicely too!
Perhaps oil does that too. Before I would put oil on a pad and wipe my eyes but maybe I just need to rub the oil in with my hands instead then wipe off afterwards. Is that how u do it?

Pawpaw and Vaseline are basically the same thing. I wouldn't count on either being conditioning though... Mineral oil doesn't do much but sit on top of the skin. If you want oil that can actually penetrate and benefit your skin I'd look at almond, coconut, rice bran, or even olive!

Oil cleansing is best when combined with heat, so rubbing it in your hands might help. A really effective way is to rub the oil between your hands, apply it, then cover it with a face cloth that you've soaked in hot water then wrung out. Leave for a minute or two then use the cloth to wipe off. It works for your whole face, not just eyes

Ponds Cold Cream used to work a treat for eye makeup when I danced.
