    We have always used removalists but pack everything up ourselves so on the day they come all boxes are ready in one room to be taken out and packed into the truck and then they just go from room to room and move the furniture out also.

    Local moves are always really expensive.
    I moved interstate a year and a half ago, it cost me $750 to move about 800kms.
    I moved last october, the quotes i got were up to $2500. I moved 5kms down the road and i only have minimal stuff compared to most.
    I hired a truck for $150, had someome to help and we moved it all in 2 loads.

    Just over a year ago we moved 25km and it cost us just over $500

    Thats the most ive ever paid cause its the farthest ive ever moved.
    Usually its within the same suburb or a few suburbs away and is around $350.
    Im in Adelaide tho so not sure if thats why?

    No way id use a removalist if it was $2500 Thats crazy expensive!

    I've received quotes $132ph one truck, 2 men.
    Plus Dh's truck.
    We can store container $55pw too
