Default Sore throats & colds in early pregnancy

Does anyone know if you have a sore throat or a cough/cold in early pregnancy if it can harm a developing baby? Or even at any stage of pregnancy? Can any infection be passed onto the baby at all or cause development problems? If its just a minor cough/sore throat/cold is there much risk to the baby?

I can feel a cold coming on and I'm worried, I'm probably just being extra paranoid but thought I'd see if anyone else knows or worries about this

I've had a cold for over a week now and I'm 13w along. I've talked to my MW and docs and apparently baby is healthy and happy in its little sac. Just make sure you keep your fluids up and get enough rest. If you're really worried just chat to your doc about it :-)

Dont stress. I had flu after flu when I was pregnant with DD. It started when I was around 6 weeks and continued on and off until the end. In fact at around 38 weeks, I got hit with the worst flu of my life! I had temp of 39 for 3 days, sore throat, laryngitis etc etc.. I think I caught croup (laryngitis) off a friends DS and believe me I wasnt happy!

Anyways, my point is DD was fine! My labor was normal etc. No impact on her at all. She is 16 months old now and no delays in her development.
I think apart from it being really draining on you, your bub should be fine. If you have any concern, speak to your dr or midwife, but Im sure they will only tell you that bub is ok.
