Default Gender at 12 weeks 3 days

Had an OB appt Tuesday and he did a scan, said he was 80-85% positive it was a boy. He showed me, and it seemed really obvious to me. Anyone else found out this early and how accurate was it??

I asked the sonographer at around that time (nuchal scan), and she predicted a girl - which we now know is accurate (confirmed by amnio).

We asked our ob around about that time with my first pregnancy and she told us boy which was correct.

We never 'found out' but using the nub theory I knew from 12+1 that DS was a boy.

This bubba didn't give us a good nub shot!

Yes, if the tech was able to get a good nub shot (side on shot of the baby), then 12+3 can be accurate. It is more to do with the angle of the nub, rather than the presence of a protrusion at that gestation- I think all bubbas have a protrusion at that gestation. When I had my scan at 11+5 this time, I saw a massive protrusion between the legs, but when I looked side on at the nub, it was angled down rather than up, which is indicative of a girl. Later confirmed girl.

I posted a nub pic on here at 12 weeks and everyone said girl, but 19 week scan showed boy. So I have my doubts about the accuracy of nub guesses lol

On one hand I figure as an obstetrician he has probably seen thousands of these and should be pretty good at guessing by now.... But I'm not going to announce it to the world and buy loads of blue just yet haha

I was told 90% girl by US tech at 12w 6d but after seeing the video I am really sure I am having a boy. The nub is angled up the whole time.

Am trying to remain positive as Us tech sounded really sure. Will let you know when I find out!!!
