    Default Telling your kids?

    Hi
Those of you with older children, how soon did you / are you planning on telling them?

Mine have been begging for a bub for quite some time, so will be super excited, but wondering whether we should wait to tell them just in case?

My son guessed and we were only 6 weeks. So that is when they found out. I think if you are telling other people you should tell your kids otherwise they will find out from someone else.

If you have not miscarried before hopefully you would be ok. I don't think I would be saying anything to anyone if I had a history of that, IYKWIM

Thanks, I have no history of miscarriage, so am hoping will continue.

I think as soon as I start feeling ill my eldest will know, only one other person knows about from me and hubby, oh and you all

    Thanks

We told my 5 year old step daughter when I was only 8 weeks last time. She was super excited and bought a teddy bear for the baby. Sadly I miscarried at 12 weeks so we had to tell her. She became quite upset and to this day (it was over a year ago now) she still sometimes hugs that teddy bear when she's going to sleep - it breaks my heart that I put we through that.
This time we didn't tell her until after my 16 week OB appointment
