Default 18 month old throwing things is driving me nuts!!!

HELP!!! So I know that it's part of their development and have tried the "we only throw soft things" approach (dismal failure) that I read about. He throws everything!! Toys, food, you name it. And he has such a good aim as well, can hit the dog and cat expertly and hard too. Other than tell him "no", taking away all throwable items, what can I do to stop this??? We went to playgroup for the first time today and he had a field day throwing everything he picked up!! It has to stop.

    Hi mummyjen

I feel your pain! DS2 went through this something shocking.. inf act on top of this he also smacked his brother. It took so much patience and perseverence but he did grow out of it! Just keep reminding him that its not OK and do time outs or distraction/taking whatevr hes throwing away. They do get it, eventually! Good luck!
