    I had the same when DD was in the NICU, I was allowed to stay longer than what was there normal procedure. Most of the midwives were very sensitive about the fact that she was down there, it was really nice of them all.

    Due to my BMI I can see local midwives & my gp until about 36 weeks then referred to KEMH for the birth

    This is true, unless you want to use the Family Birth Centre or NBAC clinic.
