yup me too. Mine go angry red like that and i can get about 10 bites in 2 mins, the swell up to the size of a 20 or 50c piece. They don't get weepy though. I also second paw paw balm, and maybe ice if you little one is really itchy. Poor kid mozzie bites like that are the worst.

My poor daughter reacts like this too!!! She also gets the weepy/crusted head in it it is awful but thankfully it doesn't seem to bother her most of the time.

Yep, mine go like that if I scratch them even once. If I manage to not scratch they stay small, but then you can see the swelling following the lines of lymphatic drainage for about 6 mm away from the primary swelling.
Funnily, the further away from home I am when bitten by mosquitoes (eg. 50 km, 100 km, 200 km), the less I react to them. Don't know if it's due to different species or variations within one species.

My 2 older daughters have this mosquito allergy as well. They are on medication now for it though. Poor bubba!
We give antihistamine, and paw paw for relief, but your little one might be too young?

Both bub and myself are prone to those mozzie bites.... Paw paw ointments work wonders...but DermAid 0.5% is a god send to stop the itch when it it really bad and you can't sleep at night
