Default Antenatal classes through private hospitals

    Does it cost anything?

Did anyone do it at the mater Townsville? What was their experience?

    A quick google says....

Yes. 7pm - 9pm on Tuesdays for 4 weeks or 830am - 3:30pm on Saturday or Sunday full day workshop.

Contact maternity reception for bookings. Classes fill fast.

Contact your health fund to find out if classes are covered under your premium.

I went private in Brisbane last year.
did my antenatal classes through the hospital. Cost was $200 and my health fund rebated $100.
i didn't find the classes anything spectacular to be honest...

I didn't do mine at mater but spent $300 and everything covered was what I already knew! Didn't even go through any breathing exercises, etc. and no hospital tour either... Such a waste of money for me and didn't get any money back through MBP.

The only positive was that I discovered a love for strawberry creme Oreos...

My health fund covered our classes. I liked them, it was fun and the middies spent lots of time answering questions so everyone felt they got something out of it. Was only about 6 couples.
