    Yay Congrats Anuka!

I did have problems latching him on at first. The hosptal tried to tell my nipple pain was normal. I thought this can't be right, I was in tears! So I went to the health clinic & a nurse re-showed me & now it is a lot easier. I wasn't holding him right, It still hurts a bit now but not to bad. Wishing every-one doing Ivf the best of Luck! baby dust

My first appointment is next tues...finally...they told me on the phone that 1st appt with nurse., gettin history and ordering tests...not sure if it depends what tests or most are standard but they told me that a chromosonal? test they do takes 6 weeks for results so after that is when you get to see the specialist and depending on what he/she says and I guess any issues that need to be addressed they may set the ball rolling. I know that I wont get to start until I get my bmi down though. Hubby is donating for his sperm analysis the morning before our appt as we live 2 hours away...they said that needs to be done by 10am or something and we did need an appointment.

Its exciting especially after waiting 2 months to get in

Thanks for the info ladies. I saw the Drs at the Mater Natural Fertility clinic earlier this yr and they did heaps of tests & everything was normal. I have just done a cycle of IUI at QFG but unsuccessful so I'm debating whether to do another cycle in between now & my appt at springwood...
It feels like a long wait and I hate waiting so I'm going a bit insane.

Good luck with your appt mrsmac123 and you too Mellow73! How exciting!

Mellow73- how long from your first appt did you start your first cycle? And how was the EPU? That's got me a bit nervous.

Yes I know about waiting...im 41 in a month ttc #1 so very aware of the time going slow even just to get to the first appt..wanted to be proactive and get tests done but only had amh done so far they told me not to jump the gun too much pre empting them as they like their own scientists to do some of them and I suppose if I need to get bmi down it might change test results ...havnt even had a scan for 6 years dunno what its like in there

My first appt was early September, my hubby works away for 4 weeks at a time so that didn't help. I had to do 18 days of stims after 21 days of bc pill which also didn't help. My ovaries weren't playing fair and it felt like eternity to get to egg pick up. I have to say though that all the staff that work there are absolutely fantastic and make you feel very comfortable.

Oh and I had my test results from qfg tranferred so I didn't have to do as much testing again.
I'd already had hsg, chromosome testing, blood type etc however they still run a few more bloods for their own results

    Thanks heaps for that.

    This is my background:
    Me: 30 DH: 31
Conceived naturally in 2009 without even trying. Normal pregnancy & birth.
    TTC#2 since Feb 2010.
HSG normal, all hormone testing so far normal, DH's SA was normal, I have a regular cycle so no idea what the problem is.
Just did IUI with QFG, and going in tomorrow for BT but pretty certain that AF will arrive before then. So will do another IUI this next cycle.

My 1st appt with Springwood is on Dec 9. If I have my AMH levels tested with QFG now will the Drs at springwood still do another test or can they just get the results from QFG?

    Was the EPU painful?

I have got everything crossed for you that you will get your BFP! I hope the 2ww goes quickly for you xx
