I've got no idea if the sac can be bigger than what it's measuring, I hope someone can answer that for you. I've just done 7-8 rounds of clomid & I know that I ovulated at different times even though I was taking the same dose. Most commonly I would ovulate further along in my cycle than what I thought, so hopefully you're just really early.

Hugs, this can be so stressful & I really hope that you have a good scan tomorrow

I had a similar thing last year and unfortunately it didn't end well.

My dates were exact as it was an IVF baby. I had a scan at 6.5 weeks and there was no heartbeat, but the FS could see the sac. He said it was maybe just a bit early, and to come back in a week. I came back a week later and there was a heartbeat, but it was slow (80 something bpm). My FS said to come back in another week and chances are that I would have either miscarried or the HB would have stopped.

Unfortunately he was right. I came back at 8.5 weeks, and the HB had stopped. It was a missed miscarriage, so they did a D&C that day.

I hope that your situation is different, and will be keeping everything crossed for you. It's an agonising wait.

Yeah, is it possible the sac is bigger than it should be for however many weeks I am? eg. If I'm measuring 7.5 weeks, could I only be 6?

It is possible. It's also possible that the measurements were out because even a mm will alter you edd.

I had my 2nd ultrasound today. I am now measuring 6 weeks and 6 days, so the sac seems to be getting smaller. There was still only a yolk visable, no sign of an embryo. I also had a blood test done today. The early preg service are going to ring me in the morning to discuss my results and what will happen now. I'm actually ok at this stage but not looking forward to the next week or so...preparing to misscarry or if it come to it a D&C.
