    Default EBM storage while out?

    Hello,
Tonight we're taking bub out for the first long period of time and I'm going to take a couple of bottles of EBM. I'm not sure whether there will be a fridge there, so wondering what the best way to store the milk will be? We went to my parents house for a short visit yesterday and I took a bottle in an insulated bottle bag with 2 ice bricks then put it in the fridge when we got there; would the bottle bag with ice bricks keep them cold enough for a few hours while we're out?

If its been frozen and thawed it's good for 4 hrs at room temp. If fresh 6-8 hrs.

That's pretty much what I've been doing while out , insulated bag plus a few small ice bricks and then popping it back in the fridge as soon as we get home. In saying that, we are in melb and it's been pretty mild the last week. I guess just keep it somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight too and it should be fine. I'm being careful at the moment as my dd is 11 weeks but I expressed full time for my ds and as he got a little older we definitely got less strict ( like getting a bottle out as we went to bed for his overnight feed and leaving it out ready so I wasn't heating things in the night etc), and he was fine! Just do what you can!

Just an update in case anyone else comes across this thread with the same question, the milk stayed realllly cold with 1 ice brick and my thickly insulated Avent bottle bag, it was a chilly night last night though which helped.
