    Default Constipation

    What helps with constipation??? I'm on Zofran and one of the side effects is constipation.. Not fun!

    I know it sounds crazy but just plain old fruit. If my fridge runs out for a couple of days I'm screwed, I have at least one apple and one orange a day, I also found dried apricots good too.

    Yes, I've found fruit good for constipation too. I usually have an apple and a banana a day, and sometimes a small handful of dried fruit in the evening. I take iron supplements so have the same problem if i run out of fruit

    I found high fibre foods, 3-4 litres of water a day & keeping active helped me. I had it fairly bad the first half of my pg (once every 7-10 days) & not a lot would help me, not even Metamucil at times. Good luck, hope you find something that helps you :-)

    Thanks ladies. I can't stomach prunes, figs and dried fruits but ill try the others. I had a glass of pear juice today so I'm praying it works! I'm so bloated and I've had a stomach ache for 4 days now!!!!!!!
