Default 7 week scan - no baby or sac

    Hi there

I am supposed to be 7 weeks pregnant today. I have had slight bleeding and mild cramping today so went for an early scan.

They could not see anything on the scan - not even a sac.

I have been having symptoms - tiredness, headaches, slight nausea.
I had blood tests at 4 weeks and my levels went from 19 to 110 in 48 hrs so more than doubled so I thought everything was going ok.

Ive just had more blood tests and am waiting for the results to rule out an ectopic.

I have just done a HPT and got a very positive result. I know this could be picking up hcg levels even after a miscarriage.

I was just wondering, if the pregnancy stopped before the sac even formed, would I still have hcg levels high enough to get a positive? Has anyone else been through something similar and it was all ok?

    thanks

Was it a traansvaginal scan? I had a scan at 6.6 and they tried tummy first and couldn't see a thing, the internal it showed up though. Good luck honey xoxox

Yes it was a transvaginal scan. Just had my blood results and they are now 1000.
Have to have more bloods on Wednesday to see how they increasing. Dr mentioned molar pregnancy could be a possibility, or I could be earlier than I thought. Im quite worried now!

Default 7 week scan - no baby or sac

Click on my profile and go to my posts. I had the same thing only a few weeks ago.
I had a scan at 6 weeks, 3 days & then I had a scan at 6 weeks 5 days. They saw nothing but a sac and I was told that it'd either be an ectopic pregnancy or an early miscarriage. I then had an ultrasound at 7 weeks & 3 days and they saw bub. I'm measuring 10 days behind.
Maybe you're just not as far as you think you are.. My HCG levels were also goin up
