Default Excess baggage for travel to NZ?

    Hi guys,

I'm after some advice. We are travelling to NZ soon and are looking at options in terms of what to do about pram/carseat. We could hire each of these at the other end or could take them underneath as excess baggage I'm guessing.

When we travelled domestically with Virgin last year we were actually able to take pram and carseat as excess for free which was great and we are also travelling with Virgin to NZ this time but I can't find out any information from their website about whether this is also free internationally and they haven't got back to my emailed question.

I'm guessing not, if I can' t find any info but I just thought I'd ask here in case anyone has flown there and wanted to/tried to take this luggage with them. If it's not free I wonder if anyone has an estimate as to how much it would cost for a carseat and/or pram as excess and I'll look up hire costs at the other end to see which works out the most economical and less hassle.

    Thanks!

I would contact them directly via email so you have a direct response via email that way if they start to cause a stir at checkin you can produce that email
