Question Arrgh! Please help me - first smartphone - recommendations

I am looking at joining the tech savvy world and getting a smartphone. I am thinking probably android.

Can anyone suggest a good phone $200 or less that has a very good camera (at least 5mp). Dual Sim would be good but not essential.

I mainly use my phone for sms, photo's and occasional calls. I will probably use the internet a little as I have allowance in my mobile plan for it.

Please help me out and recommend some good ones. I've been looking around but am starting to .

    Thanks in advance

If you go secondhand, you can get something better. DH and I both love our galaxys.

For the price you want to spend I'd say go secondhand. You wouldn't get an iPhone for that but I know some of the galaxy's are a lot cheaper.

I have a galaxy ace that cost me $200. The only thing I've found, it isn't compatable with some of the apps/games i really want, and the internal memory isn't very big, so im always getting told its full...

For $200 i'm not sure you could get a decent camera?
I have the galaxy s2 and they still go for over $400.
Personally i'm not a fan of samsung after being on my third one now and having to send them all in for warranty work at some stage.
If you do go samsung though, there are smaller, cheaper versions. Some have the dual sim- just not sure about camera quality.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations . I'm taking them all into consideration.

I'm not a big fan of buying online so unfortunately a second hand phone probably won't happen.

If anyone has further recommendations, I'm all ears

I was in your position just before Christmas. DH gave me an HTC Desire X for $280 from eBay. I have been very happy with it, and was happy buying it online. You might be able to get an older model for less.
