Default Job Interview - what to wear?

Hi All, I have a group interview for a call centre based role. The interview is with the recruitment agency and they said to dress corporate. Now my view of corporate wear may be slightly off because I have worked in community organisations which are a bit more relaxing in their attire.

So, I have just a white cotton blouse to wear on top. On the bottom I will either wear
    a. black trousers and black patent peep toe wedges or
    b. black pencil skirt, but if I wear this, should I....
bi. wear bare legs (leaning towards no on this) and wedges or
bii. wear stockings and closed in low heels, and if I wear stockings, black, nearly black or nude?

Nude stockings if you wear a skirt for the interview. Otherwise the slacks.

Where I was working (corporate) they said no peep toe shoes.

    Good luck

LOL I just had to run out the other day to buy some clothes for an interview!.
I bought a black pencil skirt and a black and white patterned peplum top. I've chosen nude stockings and my low heel court shoes.
I've been told to wear closed toe shoes for corporate interviews too. Once you get the job, then I suppose you would be fine to wear the peep toes.

Thanks. I did wonder about the peep toes. Damn, I wasted $5 on them.....

I'm thinking the pencil skirt, nude stockings and low heels will be the way to go, the pants are a little saggy across the hips so the skirt might be a little smarter.

Default Job Interview - what to wear?

I would actually get a dark patterned top or something that stands out a little more than white top, black bottom because its so standard it might make you hard to remember?

"That girl with the xyz top," might make it easier for them to remember who you are maybe?

I don't think you should dress down for an interview in regards to the shoes... Nobody is going to see shiny wedges and think, "unintelligent trollop," or anything. Lol.

That is a good point about the top Sassy. My other top is a cream sheer blouse with a gathered sleeve and small ruffles along the button casing, with a nude cami under it. I'm afraid my budget is pretty limited.

Might pop in to some op shops tomorrow.

Thanks ME, when is your interview?

    Here are the shoes.

I'm thinking I may take the white shirt back tomorrow and see I I can get something else.

So I added a silk scarf to the mix, not as colourful as I was hoping but I love it and it was on sale .

I have just left the group interview/assessment and am going through to the next round for an interview with the employer tomorrow.

This isn't the job that I really want but I will have to see if I get shortlisted for the other one (applications for that close on Friday). It well just feel good to know that I have a job, if I get it . Fingers and toes crossed.
