The IT crowd, Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, New Girl, Community, The Inbetweeners, Bored To Death, Secret Diary Of a Call Girl, Rules of Engagement, The Office, Weeds. An Idiot Abroad is a hilarious documentary style series.

Make sure you get the pilot as well as episodes 1-4. I couldn't download it so watched it in YouTube.

Hey Hagrid - what about Archer? Can you get that on DVD. Love that show and I smile every time I see your avatar!

If you love The Office (uk) then I would totally recommend Modern Family, Chris Lilley's mockumentary series (though they're A bit sillier than the office) and The Inbetweeners.

Also, you've got to watch An Idiot Abroad. I laugh so hard at Karl Pilkington! (And Gervais and Merchant own it too).

Otherwise The Tudors for history. I would also say Spartacus is a goodie if you can handle lots of nudity, sex scenes and stylised violence. It's kind of like a soap opera but I did enjoy the historical setting.
