Default 2 1/2 year old suddenly not sleeping through

Any suggestions would be so helpful!!!'

Ds is 2 1/2 and has been sleeping in his own big boy bed for months. Prior to christmas bedtime and naps were perfect and he never fussed. Now he hates his room and without fail ends up coming into our room at 2am or sometimes earlier. We have tried to eliminate as many reasons as possible, hot, cold, hungry, needing a night light etc . He hates his day naps too now and fights it as long as possible. Wouldn't say he use to love sleep but it has been such a dramatic change where he absolutely hates sleep.

I will add that dd was born around christmas but for a few weeks after she was home he was still sleeping through.

Any suggestions would be great. Maybe this is just normal toddler behavior? Or is it jealously with dd?

Has he got his 2 year molars yet? Also, have there been any significant changes generally in his life that maybe making him feel a little insecure at the moment?

Only our dd arriving. But surely this would be a passing phase? It has been going on a month now. I did consider molars too but he usually tells us if his teeth are sore.

If it is the arrival of his baby sister doing this how do we make it better? We have tried sleeping in his room with him but as soon as he is asleep and we leave the room he wakes instantly. He also has music in his room to stop any of the baby noises waking him (we started this earlier to get him use to it)

I would hazard a guess that its to do with the new baby arriving. Unfortunately I only have one child, so no experience there. I'd say let him come into your room, I'm sure its a phase and he will soon feel reassured about his new sister arriving.
