Default Needing Support - one episode of Bradycardia 20wk scan

We recently found out that during our 20wk scan our bub had an episode of bradycardia down to 46bpm - regular heart rate was 140bpm & has been consistent at that rate when checked twice since by OB & midwife. Everything else was really good, baby right size for dates etc. But our OB is sending us to a cardiologist to be assessed for possible "intermittent complete heart block" - I have tried to stay positive but we are so stressed out waiting for our scan. Can anyone shed some light on bradycardia during ultrasound?

My sonographer said it's completely normal, and that he'd had a terrible shock the first time it happened to him.

The topic came up during our scan when DS's heart rate dropped dramatically while the sonographer was watching. He continued to watch until it picked up again, then he breathed a sigh of relief and told us the above. DS is fine. Hope everything turns out perfect for you too.

Thanks Felicita - really appreciate the feedback & support. Good to know that one of episodes of Bradycardia can be a normal thing. Ultrasound on Wednesday so just hanging out to see bub and find out for sure. Thanks again :-)
