Default Booked in for c section @ 39w

I'm booked in for my c section at 39wks. This is my first fullterm preg you could say. My question is if I go into labour early will they make me go through birth or give me an emergency c section??

I'm getting nervous I will go early!!!

Default Booked in for c section @ 39w

I was booked for c section at 39w as well (elective) but my waters broke at 37+1 (last Friday actually!!) and went into hospy, they asked me if I still wanted to go ahead with c or try to push him out, contractions were horrid and I said def still want the c section. I was down in theatre 2 hours after arriving at the hospital and he arrived 45 mins after that

I think they'd just do your c section early. How far along are you now ?

I was scheduled for mine at 39+6. I was paranoid I'd go before but if I had they would've just done an emergency csection. But my DD was breech don't know what your circumstances are.

It will depend why you want/need the csection I think.

I was really worried about the same thing, I was booked in at 39+1 this time.

i was reassured if I went into labour early I would just head down and have my csection early

Default Booked in for c section @ 39w

My sister is booked for a c/s at 39w this time, after an emerg c/s last time. Her OB said if she went in to labour earlier, she would just have another 'emerg c/s'.

I was surprised (as was she) that he booked it for 39w. We always thought if elective they do it at least 10-14 days prior. Obviously not!

Default Booked in for c section @ 39w

I was booked for c-section at 39 weeks but waters broke at 38 weeks and upon arrival to the hospital, they gave me the option of having it natural. After several hours in labour, I ended up having the c-section as i had a previous c-section just the year before and they were worried about the scar rupturing...
