    Default Baby Shower Game Ideas

Looking for suggestions for ideas that aren't totes silly or disgusting which is what I will end up with if I leave it completely to my mum to organise haha.

I thought about not doing any games but it sort of seems like being a baby shower, I should do something.

Really not interested in things involving chocolate in nappies (ewww) or people guessing with string how gargantuanly huge my belly is (I think I'd cry lol).

I have a mix of ages coming.

We played baby bingo. I think I printed off the bingo cards and words online . Basically same as normal bingo but you use words relating to babies rather than numbers.
Also there is a game where everyone gets given a peg or cheap party bag necklace / bracelet at the start of the baby shower and you have to try and not say the word baby for the whole shower. If somebody catches you saying they get your peg /necklace and then at the end of the shower who ever has the most wins.

I'm having my baby shower this Saturday.

The games I have organised are

Dress and put a nappy on a baby doll as quickly as you can with one hand behind your back, fastest wins.

Put baby things like a nappy, dummy, rash cream in a paper bag and the guest who guesses the most correct wins.

Ask each guest to bring a baby photo of themselves, the most correct guesses wins.

Guess bubs weight, length, dob. Closest guess wins a prize after bub is born.

I was going to get plain white onesies or bibs and fabric paint and get each guest to decorate one for bub but I decided I couldn't be bothered lol.

Sent from my GT-I9100T using BubHub

For my sister we did the string game ( guess diameter) , baby bingo, guess the number of jelly beans

I like the remembering game too where you have say 25 baby items shown for 1 minute and you have to then remember as many as possible.
Also I like the a-z game where in a small team/ pair you come up with a baby item starting with that letter, at end everyone reads out what they have , if there is double ups then its crossed off. the group with the most left ( therefore unique)at the end wins.

I hate those interactive games as well. I looked on line and there are heaps of writing games like match this mother animal with its baby (surprisingly hard) and guess the nursery rhyme and a couple others. I had some chocolate bar for the winners.

Not so much a game but a nice thing to do, Chrissie Swan said she did it at all her baby showers. Every guest brings a bead from home, can be from whatever then each guest puts their bead onto the thread while making a wish for the baby then you are left with a really meaningful necklace for the bubba.

    For dd1 we did:

    • match baby animals to the mother
    • unscramble baby words
    • blind fold baby food race
    • guess how many jelly beans in the bottle.

    Dd2

    • we made a personalised crossword with answers relevant to dd2
    • the handbag game (purse)
    • guess how many jelly babies in the bottle
