Default Bad nappy rash and pooing so often!

My son has hardly ever had a solid poo. It's always mushy or a bit runny in his nappy. He usually does one a day but the past month or so it's like 4 times a day!
Te last few days its been runny and stinky and now his bum is so red raw and he cries in pain when I try wipe him after a poo.
I put desatin on which is the only cream I have tried that actually clears it. But I get it cleared over night then after his morning poo he is so red again

What can I do? Is his poo habits normal? Like so frequent.. Anyone else's bub do this?

Just hate seeing another poo in there cuz he fights through the nappy change and I try be so soft and gentle but with trying to hold him down its all so hard..

Incase anyone asks about what he eats here it is..
    Brekky wheatbix and milk
    Morning tea banana or yogurt
    Lunch cheese sandwich
    Afternoon tea rockmelon
Dinner pasta and sausage and veg

That's pretty much his diet lately
    And he is 11months

Try restricting the fruit and cheese for a couple days. my opinion anyway.

But a tip I learnt from here, don't use cream, use corn flour. Creams can sting but corn flour doesn't and it helps absorb liquid and keep him dry. Also if possible pretty him go nappy free as much as possible until the rash clears up or a gross as it seems try him in a bath to clean him off if it is really bad. It takes the sting out.

It might also be worth taking him to the Dr if its not clearing up to make sure the rash isn't thrush. Thrush can also present this way.

Goodluck. Those red raw rashes are horrible

It sounds like he is teething. It is very normal for the poo to change in frequency and acidity when your baby is teething.

I have found the best treatment is to change bub IMMEDIATELY as soon as you notice they have been. Even then sometimes the poo is that acidic it can hurt them almost instantly the moment it touches the skin.

Aside from that, get a very good quality zinc based cream, and a good powder. When your baby wears a nappy put BOTH the zinc cream and powder on, this will stop the poo and wee from being able to get to the sore skin and effect it. Try to give baby as much nappy free time as possible, and when bub has no nappy on, put on ONLY the powder. This gives the sore skin a chance to dry and heal.

I've found this the best method for me, has nappy rash fixed in our house very quickly

    Thanks guys
I will cut back on the fruit and cheese and let him go naked as much as possible.
I thought maybe teeth but he already has 8 and I thought that was it until after 1??
Poor thing I remember having rashes when I was very young and it's horrible! I might take him outside after a poo and squirt him with the hose instead of rubbing wipes on him..

Umm I haven't noticed white specks. Like one of his runny ones today had rockmelon in it.. Kind of green tinged sometimes but I thought that was normal..

My DD did this with her first ever tooth. It was horrible!

Luckily it was never as bad with her other teeth.

    Classic teething symptom.

Sudocream!! It is the best thing ever. My son gets rashes as well and ill put a good amount of sudocream and after a couple hours it's pretty much 90% cleared. Even if your bub doesn't have a nappy rash put sudocream around his b area and it protects rashes from developing.
