Default Low blood flow from placenta

    Hi everyone

I had my 20 week morphology scan today.

They want to see me again for another scan at 24 weeks because apparently at the last scan the reading for the blood flow level from placenta to baby was lower than the norm.

I'm seeing my GP on Thursday to get her to complete referral form for next scan but wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience with this?

They've told me its precautionary and not to worry but it's difficult not to??

Any stories / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Default Low blood flow from placenta

    Hi becca
Yep! My baby was born 2 weeks ago at 35 weeks.
She is still in nicu but doing good.
I had a scan almost every week from 30 weeks because of low blood flow to baby.
I had GD on insulin and that effected the placenta and blood flow.
She is tiny (1.9kg at birth) but a fighter and no other probs apart from size.
Have they done a size on bubs yet?
Also, heat affects the blood flow.. If you are hot and bothered the blood flow can be compromised!
Hope it's all nothing. If they tell you not to worry, try and relax.. I know, easier said than done!

Default Low blood flow from placenta

    Hi thanks for that.

I read my NT report and it's my low Papp-a levels that are the issue. They were at .3087. So I have to get them
Checked again at 24 weeks and fingers crossed all is well.

    Congrats on your little one.
