    Default Seat for big baby

    Hi everyone,
It's time to get my boy out of his capsule. He's 15 weeks old and weighs 8.5kg (capsule only goes up to 9kgs), he's also quite long. We were going to use my a second hand car seat from a friend but when we took the cover off to clean it, the underlay was all crumbly. So now we're going to have to shop for new seat this week - any recommendations for us? Our main priority is safety (of course) but comfort is equally as important as we do long trips to visit family regularly

I'd recommend either the Safe n Sound Meridian or Platinum. Or if budget is a problem the Infa Secure Neon (which you can get in Big W). The new seats go by height not by weight, so you can keep your son Rearfacing for longer. Rearfacing is 4 times safer then forward facing so i'd aim to keep him rearfacing till ATLEAST 12 months, if not much longer.
    Goodluck!
