Default 40 weeks - Sharp / pulling pain behind my belly button

For the last few days, I've been having a really sharp, pulling pain behind my belly button. It feels like my belly button is going to be ripped away from my insides or something. It's not constant, but most painful when I roll over in bed or go for sitting to standing or standing to sitting. Has anyone else had this and is it normal? Dr Google seems to have never heard of this problem ;-)

I don't remember having it in my pregnancy but could you maybe call up and check with a midwife?

I would call your hospital/midwife and check. I know it may be being over cautious but your bub is very precious.

JR - I had the same sort of pain a few weeks ago, but it was further up. Like where the top on my uterus would have been. Felt like my muscle was tearing apart, very painful. Since bub moving down though I haven't felt it at all. I'd call your midwife to be safe.

Thanks everyone, I phoned the hospital and they were great, said its probably just the position of the baby pressing on the back of my belly button, and to take panadol if necessary and to take it easy today. As long as bub is still moving and I have no bleeding, they said its nothing to be concerned about :-)
