Default If ur girls bedroom furniture is NOT white i want pics!

We have decided to go for a medium wood stain rather than white for our dds bedroom suite ( shes 2) so am just after inspiration from others who have NON white girls rooms to show me some pics of how they have decorated it as virtually all the pics i can find online of girls rooms white and i wanted something different!

This is the colour of the stain

Growing up my furniture was that color, has lasted 15 years already and is still in my room at mum and dads.

I just had the dresser, bedside table and then got a desk with a hutch/bookcase when I was about 10. The bed was ensemble.

I don't have any photos but I always had a bright doona cover and a feature wall painted. The feature wall colors have varied between bright blue, bright yellow, pales yellow and a green over the years.

I had wall stickers of small (palm sized) cartoon flowers that I decorated my room with quite nicely and had knick knacks on my dresser and desk along with all my books.

Had lots if natural light in my room as well.

I don't have any pics but our bedroom furniture was that colour. We had a 'snatch' the dog bed set, clock, wallpaper border, curtains and rug. Alphabet posters etc on the white walls.

    Thanks ladies.

Everyone i know has white too but its also more expensive to get decent quality. she already has a wardrobe in this walnutty colour too.

White seems to be the in thing so im going to be different plus the rest of our furniture is stained wood in a similar colour.

    Anyone else?

Haven't had time to clean her room so sorry about the mess on top of the draws. We are actually in the process of upgrading her to white furniture

Her cot and wardrobe was the same strain as the draws.

    Beautiful jr03, thank you.

I love the pink against the dark wood that looks stunning.

The wall sticker looks great too....im thinking i might get a nice big bright wall canvas instead tho!

Yeah I agree. We just bought this place a few months ago so the dark doesn't really go now. DD picker her room colour so we did the skirting boards white and having white furniture will just bring it all together

Plus its always fun to re decorate

Have u found the quality of white furniture to be not as good unless u pay more than u would for good quality stained furniture?

Thats been one thing that has put me off....
