I'm only 5 weeks past delivery, only just finished bleeding. No AF yet I'm sure it's not far away!

Back to the GP today to make sure the Mastitis isn't an abscess! Hope it's ok, do not fancy having it surgically drained.

Orlando will be four weeks on Friday I've been bleeding since birth (c-section). Has been chopping and changing heavy and light and actually stopped for 2 days and then restarted so who knows!!!

One of my friends still hasn't got hers after 7 months so definitely no cause for concern!

Orlando ended up being awake until twenty past 2 (from 9.45) but then he slept til half past 5 which is one of his longest stints! He was then up for an hour and back to sleep for hour and a half and then the same again so mummy ended up getting a couple of hours in there thank god!

Just got back from paediatrician who said he's doing great. With regards to his kidney, we need further testing so next step is to inject my poor baby with a dye so they can determine whether its reflux or a blockage and then have a follow up ultrasound after a month and then reasses. He said worse case he'll need an operation which he won't have until he's at least 4 months old.

Regarding his wind and being unsettled he said if he's putting on weight then he's not lactose intolerant so that's a big tick. He said that he has got reflux (which us what our gp said). We were holding off on giving him the medication she prescribed (Zantec) but he prescribed the same thing so we're going to start that tonight. 1ml 3 times a day before a feed and hopefully that will make him more comfy!

SL I'm sure that will make him more settled!! What are his symptoms? Does he throw up a lot?

Ivy has been awake since 1130.... Can't settle her, tried cuddling, rocking, feeding, walking in pram, drive in car...

What do you do with over tired baby? And I feel like such a failure when I can't settle her and I know she is tired

We had the same problem around the 3 week mark Nic and it was just a matter of hanging in there. It only lasted 3 days though so I'm sure it's worse for you after everything else. I totally sumpathise with you, I feel like a failure when I can't work out what the crying is for, it's definately not an easy road for any of us so far.

Can I ask what nappies everyone has been using and their thoughts?

Are you breast feeding Nic ( sorry I can't remember!)
