Going to physio again today for laser on my nipples & the the lactation consultant in the arvo, I really hope she can solve our biting issue! Not sure how much long my nipples can take the bruising!!!

Maddison was awake for a feed at 2.30am and just would not settle until 5.30 how ever I just had to wake her at 10am so nearly 5 hrs sleep just wish we could get the middle of the night down pat
The in laws left today I'm ok with it but did get emotional saying good bye as now I know it's only hubby and I and no family love in qld there All in Sydney so thinking of that makes me cry I begged hubby to move back yesterday he won't budge I know it will get easier but right now I want family close

    Nic she is gorgeous.

Amy how old is bub now? I had the same prob as you. But after my LC appointment I now have it sorted. William is 5 weeks tomorrow so maybe his bigger mouth is helping heaps too. I have to bring him onto the nip from underneath not across my body. I point my nip up and when his mouth is wide I bring him on making sure I shove as much of below my nip as possible. If he doesn't open wide enough I don't let him on. When he is on I also have to support the outside of my boob ( just hold it in with my hand) my boobs sort of come out the sides rather than cleavage in the middle so holding it in stops him from sliding off into the end of my nipple

Everyone's boobs are different so it's a real game to see what works . Hope you get it sorted soon and my technique gives you some ideas of other ways to try.

Dh left for work on Tuesday night so it's just me and the 2 boys. I understand your worried but you will be fine. Routine and being organised is the key and getting out of the house and socialising a couple times a week is important for sanity. You will be so busy, time will fly so fast. And we are always here for support.

Thanks Dragon :-) just waiting for laser now... LC is later today, geez I hope we can get it sorted, I'm really dreading every feed at the moment, I've had to rest them a couple of times & express instead just to get by!! Praying that it gets better!!

My DH has less than 2 weeks before going away for work, hopefully by then Myles & I have mastered it! I agree with being organised & going out to keep your sanity, is very important... The key is a healthy mental state I think XXX

Definitely mental health state is key!! Mega mega important!! I'm going to start expressing again so that we have at least one bottle in the fridge and a few in the freezer so I can get out by myself or a little bit - My DH has been encouraging it! I need to get my hair done so I wonder if he'll be happy about me heading out for 3-4 hours lol!!

Had MCHN this morning our big boy is healthy as can be...he has a heap of baby acne under his eyes which she said was due to hormones from BFing and completely normal! He has put on 380g since last week and is now just under 4.3kg! He has also grown 1.5cms since birth and now 53.5! Very happy mummy and daddy and good to know that I'm definitely providing enough food for him!! I was actually worried as he is putting on the same amount that he should be putting on in 2 wks not 1 wk but she said its completely fine! Good news is that when he starts sleeping a bit longer I won't need to wake him for feeds but I don't think he'll go too long he loves his food!!
