Crafty - with james whenever he arched/flail/turn head away or scream ....he wouldnt take the bottle again. We would have to distract him/calm him down for a while and maybe 15 minutes later he might have more. ..

Orlando arches his back comes off boon but then wants more food! I called paediatrician today and said Zantac not working so he is sending out a script for losec and he said sounds like Orlando has colic. Also sounds like poor baby has a cold and congested so calling the doctor in the morning to see him. Also got hospital appointment tomorrow for his kidney tests.

Mrs simmo - I have a memory of you saying you luved in brisbane southside...I finally dragged james to a third gp in teneriffe family doctors. ..dr karienne walde I think is her name and she finally said I wasnt going crazy and that it sounded like my boy had silent reflux. Honestly prior to that I thought I was going crazy cos no doc believed me and they just kept on saying it was colic.

Hes been on losec since and itd helped in the sense that he stopped screaming through feeds...and only recently this week I think hes just sllowly outgrown the reflux and has become a really pleasant happy baby that smiles a lot and coos heaps.

Good luck I can imagine your frustrations as I was like that 5 weeks ago!

    Wow Adden...is she upset?

I tried bathing Ivy earlier today...at 630, then fed her and at 7 popped her down in basinett in our almost asleep. She protested a little and we had some crying but after about 15 mins of crying and us consoling her by patting and stroking her head she drifted off till about 915, then at 930 I fed her...she fell asleep in my arms so I popped her back in basinett and she slept till 1120 ,., then I changed her and now feeding again, it's earlier than I would like!

When you say you put bubs to bed at 7, do you mean in their final sleeping spot?

Ivy normally doesn't go into our room in hr basinett until after 11 feed, but when she is in here she knows it's sleep and eat only...no play, so basically my plan was to extend that time. Other times we would have her asleep in her basinett but with us in the lounge as its on wheels.

I know it's the first night of this new routine so won't work I instantly but does the idea sound plausible?

I know! Before I had a baby I thought colic was an actual thing! Turns out its not really anything other than a word to use for babies that have unexplained unsettledness lol!! Hopefully the script for the losec will come tomorrow so we can start using it tomorrow night. Paediatrician said to chop the pill in half, crush it and put it in a teaspoon of water and give it to him morning and night. I was taking losec every day for the last few months of pregnancy as I had reflux and heartburn pretty bad and it worked wonders for me so hopefully will do the same for my little guy! Re the colic going to try taking him to a chiropractor will book it in today maybe for next week.

I dusted our bedroom today as it was disgusting and I must have shifted heaps of dust into the air as both me and DH have really scratchy throats hope bubs doesn't too! I hope it's that and not that we're all getting sick! Might get doc to give me the flu shot when I go supposed to be a bad case of it this year

Just typing and typing really little boy up and feeding sorry for the essay!!
